Domaine du Ris de Feu Welcome Letter

Charming B&B and cottages at the heart of Berry

In the morning, a hearty organic candlelit breakfast with sweet and savoury options is served in the morning room, with its 16th century bread oven, respecting the principles of slow food,

Nestling amid the calm and peaceful setting of our private forest, the Domaine with its 15th century manor house, its tower and outbuildings have been tastefully and artistically renovated using traditional, ecological materials.
Stroll through the heart of a beautifully preserved landscape, then trek the hilly forest on hiking trails through orchards and springs to see deer rutting and cranes flying overhead amid a huge diversity of flora and fauna an afterwards why not cool off in the one-hectare lakefed by a stream and equipped with a rowing boat.

3 hours from Paris, 20 minutes from the A20 motorway, the Ris de Feu is in a perfectly placed to explore the Brenne Regional Natural Park, a paradise for ornithologists, with cranes and many other birds attracted by its 1000 fishponds; the Gallo-Roman heritage of Berry, Le Blanc, Poitiers, Argenton-sur-Creuse, among others, the Chérine Nature reserve and its nature centre,  the beautiful villages of Angles-sur-l’Anglin, Saint-Benoît-du-Sault, Gargilesse where you’ll find George Sand’s house, the abbey of Saint-Savin (a UNESCO heritage site), the abbey church of Neuvy-Saint-Sépulcre (UNESCO), as well as Georges Sand’s manor in Nohant-le-Vic.

I would be delighted to welcome you to the Ris de Feu.

See you soon,

Caroline
